The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Oteigbanyo George-Braah of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has won the Bayelsa State Assembly Nembe Constituency 1 seat.
Mr Okechukwu Okeke, INEC electoral officer, said George-Braah defeated his opponent, incumbent lawmaker Hon, by 2,928 votes, Mr Okechukwu Okeke, INEC electoral officer, said when announcing the results at the King Koko Square finishing center in Ognolomabiri. Ebi Ben-Ololo.
Okeke summed up the resulting figures further, declaring Hon. Ben-Ololo of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who is running for a third term, got 2,356 votes, while Kenneth Standfast of the All Progressive Congress (APC) won 485 votes.
Also, APGA’s Waikumo Amakoromo defeated his opponent Hon by 4971 votes in Yenagoa Constituency 2, considered the PDP stronghold. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai of the PDP, an incumbent lawmaker who has served two terms.
