ABC news anchor ‘disturbed’ by Amy Robach’s relationship with TJ Holmes
ABC News’ strong take on “GMA3” host Amy Robach’s romance and TJ Holmes’ off-screen romance topped the ratings list.
As network bosses ponder the host’s fate amid their scandalous run, sources reported to Page Six that Robach’s “20/20” co-creator David Muir “didn’t want to be involved” with the show.
“He didn’t. He was the face of the nightly news and there wasn’t anything about him in the papers. He was very secretive and no one at ABC liked the way Amy and TJ handled it,” a source told Page Six.
According to another insider, “every host is upset about Amy and TJ causing such drama.”
“Nobody wants to be associated with it, and Amy and David aren’t that close right now,” they said.
When we asked for comment, a spokesperson for ABC News told us about the “David Muir World News Tonight” host, “David is focused on work, not all work.”
The network’s initial reaction was to ignore it, but Holmes and Robach disobeyed orders and joked on air that they had had a “good week” after their affair came to light.
Multiple sources told us people online were “very unhappy” with the comment. “If it’s decided not to do it, then don’t do it! TJ shrugs in the air. Amy is smarter, but how else can she react?” the first source said.
We’ve heard that Robach also doesn’t like all the attention the case is getting, especially after she’s fought hard to become co-host of “20/20.”

“She’s a no-nonsense hard news reporter, and that’s a major distraction,” commented a TV insider.
“Being the co-host of 20/20 was very important to her. She was obsessed with getting the job. It frustrated her and changed her reputation.”
The details of their affair caused a stir, and even CBS rival Gail King chimed in, calling it all “very messy.”

“I think it’s just a sad situation for me because you have kids, you have families, and I think about it all the time. I’m very worried,” King told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.
Coincidentally, we announced that Holmes was also having an affair with former “GMA” producer Natasha Singer — who is now a producer on CBS’ The King.
Holmes and Robbach have been taken off the air, and we hear ABC is investigating other potential workplace romances.
Representatives for the couple had no comment.
